Exercises to Master
These extension exercises are focused on closing the facets of C7 through T3. (lower neck to mid-back area) We are working to increase awareness of and control in this area to reduce dowagers hump and increase continuity and support of the neck through the thoracic spine.
Increasing mobility and awareness of this area will help
- decrease forward head positions
- reduce pain in the neck & shoulders and even the lower back
- increase blood flow to the brain, improve lymph flow, etc.
- there are lots of benefits to mastering this skill. You will experience more hands-on cues this week as this can be a challenging place to feel accurately without help.
