Why I came to Studio One as a client

I started at Studio One in 2015 to get out of pain from scoliosis and got hooked pretty quickly. I’ve never felt very athletic, so it was incredibly exciting to finally find a form of exercise that challenged me and improved my posture and well-being while decreasing back pain. I hope to help all our clients get out of pain and feel better in their bodies—I can’t think of anything more rewarding.

Training/Education/Past life

I’ve been acting in Alaska since 1995 and I can’t imagine life without theatre. Some favorite recent productions include The 39 Steps, She Kills Monsters, The Ice-Breaker, Macbeth, Pinkalicious, and A Wrinkle in Time. I’m also a regular at the Stories at the Cemetery. Although I didn’t start until age 26, I love all kinds of dance and take classes at Studio Pulse when I can. I graduated from Georgetown with a degree in International History. My husband Mark and I also run AK Bark, an adorable little pet boutique at 1921 W. Dimond Blvd.

Favorite thing about Alaska

I LOVE the summers, the mountains and the scenery. The local theatre community is also pretty fabulous.

Guilty Pleasure

One of my favorite things is staying home and playing with our greyhound and two whippets.
