Why I came to Studio One
I wanted to be in a place where I could be a part of people’s journeys to reach their goals as well as better my own life and wellbeing. Since joining the Studio One team two years ago, I’ve had the privilege of working with over 300 clients on their journeys through Structural Integration and my favorite part is watching someone come out of a session or class with a smile!
I’m an Alaskan transplant from Rhode Island. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in English and from Smith College in 2016 with my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I had every intention of being a high school English teacher (I was one for a bit!), and while I love teaching, it just wasn’t the right fit. Luckily I still get to practice educating in Pilates 101 and as Client Care Coordinator!
There was also a time where I was a Kitchen Manager at a music camp and wedding venue in New Hampshire (Camp Ogontz), which is where my love of cooking and baking developed.
Favorite thing about Alaska
The mountains and scenery. I’m blown away by it every day! Also, the people, there’s a great community here!
Baking! I once made over 400 cookies from scratch and each one hand decorated for a friend’s wedding. My other guilty pleasure is loving on some dogs!
