Why I came to Studio One as a client

I started as a client at Studio 1 in 2006 with a two-week Boot Camp. I was bored with other exercise classes (kickboxing, water aerobics, yoga, etc.) and was looking for something different. And I found it! With each class I still learn something new, or find a new muscle that I never knew existed. I love that moment of discovery… even days later when my abs hurt, or my inner thighs, or my arms, or...

Training/Education/Past Life

Twelve years of doing has been the best education. That and oodles of hours of VASIE training through the Studio. I’m so grateful to Paul, Ana and all the instructors for their careful attention to detail, and for taking the time to share their knowledge. This experience has grown into a passion that I love sharing with other people through assisting, teaching, and private one-on-one lessons.

Past life… I was born and raised here in Anchorage a long time ago. Eventually I left for school in the Lower 48, obtained a bachelors and masters, then returned to settle down. I fell into the field of government contracting which I have been in for more than 20 years. In 2009 I was diagnosed with Celiac disease which created a greater awareness of food and health. That led me to become a part-time, community-based Nutrition Educator.

Favorite thing about Alaska

The sense of community—Alaska really is the biggest littlest State.
