Why I came to Studio One:

I love fitness and enjoy trying new forms of exercise to mix up my workout routine. I had always had an interest in trying pilates but it wasn't until I moved to Alaska in May that I had finally given it a try. After, attending the pilates 101 class I was immediately hooked. I was impressed by the instructors knowledge of anatomy and the benefits VASIE pilates could provide for me.

Training/Education/Past Life:

I have a Bachelor's degree in animal behavior from Towson University. I started teaching group exercise in college as a way to make money while in school and because I enjoyed sharing my love of fitness. Teaching is something that I continued to do on the side after I graduated. I have taught BodyPump, bootcamp, strength classes, and barre at several fitness facilities. I also instructed high impact conditioning workouts for Towson University's men and women swim team. Upon moving to Alaska, I decided that I wanted to teach fitness full time.

Favorite thing about Alaska?

The beauty of it. I love having both the mountains and the ocean in one place.
