Getting Started

Start with Jump Start 101 - This class is designed for beginners and is a prerequisite for the Whole Body Boot Camp and Healthy Back & Joint Basics class.

After completing Jump Start 101, you can move on to our beginner level classes. Healthy Back & Joint Basics, Whole Body Boot Camp, private lessons.

Once you have completed those you can move on to our group classes, master classes, or private lessons.

+ Do I have to be in "good" shape to do Pilates?

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of adults who lead regular lives, as well as those who are seeking a high level of conditioning. We respect all levels of ability and fitness and specialize in working with beginners. We only ask that you can get up off of the floor from a lying down position in order to take group classes.

+ What are the age restrictions?

Studio One Pilates caters to various levels of fitness and ages. However, the minimum age for participating in group classes is 16.

+ Do you have changing rooms, lockers or showers?

We do have changing rooms with lockers and locks. If you need a lock, ask for one at the front desk. Unfortunately, we do not have shower facilities. Most clients do not find it necessary to shower after class before returning to work or other activities.

+ What should I bring to class?

Pilates is done with bare or stockinged feet. No shoes are necessary. You may choose to also bring a water bottle or small towel. We also provide all of the necessary equipment (mats, balls, flex bands, etc.).

Studio One Pilates offers a full spectrum of group fitness Pilates classes including whole body boot camp, back and joint boot camp, pre and post-natal, VASIE Barre, signature Studio One VASIE bar system and reformer program. All Studio One instructors are full-time professional instructors with advanced training and five hours of continued weekly advanced study. In addition, all Studio One programs are research-based, reviewed, and approved by over 100 local physical therapists and medical doctors.
